Hello good people, welcome to the Rebrand Nigeria Ambassadors Series!
Today, we are going to showcase another young Nigerian that is making the nation proud.
He is no other than, Gossy Ukanwoke, Founder of Beni American University, the first online university in Africa. He established the university in 2012 in order to remove the barriers that hamper access to high education for young people in under-served communities in Africa.
Gossy Ukanwoke is also the President of EduTech Nigeria, a company that provides an e-learning solution that is helping African universities run their on-campus degree programs online.
As a mentor to many young #entrepreneurs, #startups and #businesses, Gossy has successfully helped in building businesses that are providing real solutions to problems being faced daily on the continent, in various sectors such as power, education, civil service, manufacturing and infrastructure development.
Gossy has worked with many African governments on the development of policies to assist in creating better access, quality and relevance of higher education learning.
His work has been profiled by the World Bank and on CNN, Forbes Magazine, Harvard Business School, and on Forum for Growth and Innovation.
In 2015, he won the “Accelerating Entrepreneurs Category” of the World Entrepreneurs of the Year organized by Ernst and Young. In 2016, Qatar Foundation named Gossy as one of the 50 Global Makers and Shakers of EdTech. In 2018, he was named one of Africa’s 30 Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs in Africa.
Wow, Gossy is a worthy Ambassador of this great country!
