This morning, we are celebrating a young and passionate man who is showcasing Africans to the world. He created a platform where Africans are recognized and celebrated for their talents, hard work and determination to stand out and contribute to the growth of the African economy. We present to you Tonye Rex Idaminabo, a Nigerian lawyer and serial entrepreneur who is taking Africans to the spotlight.
He holds a master’s degree in International Contracting Law from Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland and he is the first West African to be on the Advisory Board of World Leaders Forum, Dubai. He felt the need change the narrative about the African continent therefore; he started the African Achievers Awards as one of many platforms to unite African icons for the purpose of her progress.
He is the Founder of African Achievers Awards; an award that recognizes Africa’s most accomplished achievers in politics, environment, diplomacy, entrepreneurship among others.
He is also the founder and CEO of Achievers Media; a management company that focuses on developmental analytics and innovation in global governance, creating, profiling and promoting brands internationally.
The organization has hosted the African Achievers Awards in the Iconic Westminster Parliament London held in 2017. Other counties have included Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa USA among others where individuals and companies who are greatly contributing to the growth and development of the African continent are recognized and awarded.
He is also the co-founder of the young CEOs Business Forum; where young and talented entrepreneurs from different parts of the world are trained and empowered.
In 2015, he was ranked by Forbes Magazine among leading Young Promising African Entrepreneurs and in 2016, he was listed amongst the 100 most Influential Young Africans. He is also a recipient of the Cambridge Leadership Award presented to him by the Mayor of Cambridge and many more.
