Hello good people, welcome to Our Rebrand Nigeria Ambassadors Series!

Thank you for joining us today as we celebrate a creative and solution-driven young lady who is enabling Nigerians save more now for a better future. She is Odunayo Eweniyi; Co-founder and COO of PiggyVest; an online savings and investment app. The app was first launched in 2016 as “Piggybank.ng” as a savings only platform until 2019 when it was re-branded to PiggyVest. The company is the first of its kind in West Africa and it is the largest online savings and investment platform in Nigeria. They offer excellent services to their over 350,000 users and record over 1 billion naira in savings and investments by users on a monthly basis. Users earn up to 15.5% interests on saving and over 25% returns on investments.

Odunayo holds a first class honors in Computer Engineering from Covenant University, Nigeria. After she graduated from university, she worked as the Operation Specialist at Parolz and later on worked as a Junior Editor for TechCabal and as Editor-in-Chief at Techpoint Africa. She is also one of the founding writers of Zikoko. Odunayo’s launch into entrepreneurship has gained her many accolades as she is behind the startup of a number of companies such as Wine and Whine Nigeria, 99Startups, 500Dishes, FrontDESK etc.

A very prominent platform she has co-founded is Pushcv.com which is one of the biggest job sites in Africa with the largest database of prescreen candidates.

She is part of the advisory board of TrainFuture; an edutech company situated in Switzerland and also  Gender Lens Acceleration Best Practices Initiative, a collaborative effort of Village Capital, US and the International Finance Corporation (IFC)’s Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (WeFi).

She has received many awards and recognitions some of which include; Forbes Africa 30 under 30 Technology – 2019, 30 Quartz Africa Innovators – 2019, Most Influential Young Nigerian in Science and Technology – 2019, BusinessDay’s Spark – 2019, YNaija Most Influential People in Technology – 2017/2018 amongst others.
