From our previous episodes, I believe you would have observed the number of young, vibrant and talented Nigerians who are solving the problems of society within and outside the country. We are delighted to have such great minds in our midst and that is why we are presenting you with another innovative, intelligent and solution-driven woman who is building an army of problem-solvers through her foundation.
Her name is Chidi E. Koldsweat; Founder and acting CEO of Donors for Africa. Donors for Africa is a non-profit organization that “works actively with social impact leaders, organizations, philanthropists, and investors to break cycles of poverty by addressing the global challenges we face in Africa.”
Chidi has over 11 years working experience with NGOs, philanthropy organizations and social enterprises both locally and internationally. She possesses many skills some of which include; project management, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, grants writing, sustainability consulting etc which she uses to assist organizations identify their flaws in gaining access to funds needed to build sustainable organizations in Africa.
Donors for Africa offers social innovators online trainings, skills and resource tools required for business development and global recognition. They also connect well-developed and promising ideas with donors for business sustainable development goals in Africa. They have trained over 195 social innovators and through their weekly online training platform, they have reached over 12,000 accounts. They also proffer solutions to the Government, private companies and organizations that focus on tackling globally challenges such as poverty, health, inequality etc.
Chidi and her team raised $20,000 for a StayinSchool campaign to provide library materials in underserved communities.
Koldsweat has received many awards and recognitions such as Africa’s Most Influential Woman in Business and Government (Civil Society Organization) – 2014, nominated among the 100 Unseen Women Changing Her World – 2011, 50 African Women In Development – 2020 to mention a few.
