Hello great people, we welcome you to yet another episode of the Rebrand Nigeria Ambassadors Series!
This is the platform where we showcase talented, innovative and hardworking Nigerians who are making great global impacts. We are proud of their achievements and we want the world to know who these individuals are and what they do to contribute to the Nation’s development. Our #Ambassador for today is a young fellow who together with his twin brother founded a company that is tackling the issue of unemployment in Nigeria and across many African countries.
His name is Taiwo Ayanleye; Co-founder of Stutern located in Lagos, Nigeria. He also works as the Product Manager of the company where he leads product management, business operations, program management, and software development. He provides product and engineering support across internal and external products within the company.
After graduating from university in 2014, Taiwo and his twin brother found it very difficult to get a job. They did some research and found out that over 12,000,000 African youths face the same challenge each year. As such, they decided to solve the problem by starting-up Stutern.
Stutern is an organization that provides graduates with technology skills and job placements at reputable organizations. It is one of Nigeria’s fastest growing online platforms that is bridging the gap between interns and employers. Since the founding of the company in 2014, over 1500 business have been supported and over 50,000 youths across the African continent have benefited from services of the organization.
Students and fresh graduates register on the website and create their profiles after which they can apply for their desired jobs. Stutern offers skills development trainings to the registered applicants to improve their job-related skills. Employers also register, search and/or shortlist candidates that possess the skills and qualifications needed for advertised jobs. The company has a record of over 90% of their graduate applicants gain employment in technology industries.
