On #TheLeadershipShow next week, Wednesday, September 16, 2020 we shall be discussing on the theme: Opportunities for African Youths in the Development Sector.

This theme is coming at the right time following the successful kick off of the 2020 edition of our job creation and impact investment program called the #UgwumbaEnterpriseChallenge.

As a youth development organization, we are so much interested in job creation and we are doing our best to contribute to the poverty and unemployment reduction policies of the Government.

As we promised, we are going to feature a well experienced international development consultant, Uloma Ogba to speak on this topic.Uloma Ogba is the Founder and CEO of Launch Africa, an organization that provides tailored career advice and mentoring to individuals seeking opportunities in the international development sector.

She is currently working her dream job as a Gender and Financial Inclusion Specialist at MarketShare Associates. Previously, Uloma worked with the United Nations in Rwanda and Zambia, focusing on improving access to digital financial services particularly for women, youth, and refugees. She has also worked as an Analyst for PharmAccess, a global health nonprofit in the Netherlands, with brief stints in Kenya and Nigeria. She is the author of the highly rated “30-Day Guide to Landing your Dream Job in International Development”.

As a proof of her commitment to the development of women and girls across the globe, Uloma co-founded the Nigerian nonprofit, Give Girls A Chance, which is dedicated to improving access to quality education for Nigerian girls. The organization funds and mentors over 50 primary and secondary school girls.

She is also a contributing writer for the social enterprise, She Leads Africa, where her article “How to Land a Job with the United Nations” remains one of the top rated and shared articles on the platform.

So, in line with the Ugwumba Center for Leadership Development in Africa’s global mission of “equipping young people and women of Africa with the leadership and enterprise development skills they need to compete favourably with their peers at the global stage”, this conversation with Uloma Ogba, Founder & Principal Consultant at Launch Africa will focus on the opportunities for youths in the development sector and how her organization will help them access such opportunities while building their leadership and branding skills.

So, this edition is a MUST for you….
